⛳ Golf the Sky

Legal, privacy & support

Effective: October 23, 2026  ·  golfthesky.app is operated by an independent developer (“we”, “us”), the same person behind Race the Sky.

These are Golf the Sky’s own notes. They add to Game the Sky’s shared Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Content Policy, which cover every game; where they differ, the shared ones win.

Terms of Service

The game

Golf the Sky is a free browser game. Playing against the bots requires nothing but a browser. The social features — playing live against other people, and saving your rounds — use your own Bluesky (AT Protocol) account for identity. We never create accounts, usernames, or passwords of our own, and you must meet Bluesky’s own age and account requirements (currently 13+) to use those features. There is nothing to buy.

Fair play

A round is recorded as the shots you took, not as a score, so any result can be re-simulated and checked. You agree not to submit automated, tool-assisted, or manipulated rounds, and not to exploit bugs for ranked results. We may remove rounds and exclude identities from ranked play to protect competitive integrity, and we may reset or reorganize leaderboards. Casual play is never affected by ranked-play enforcement.

Your content

Your Bluesky handle and avatar are displayed as you — that’s the point — and remain governed by your Bluesky account. Rounds you save are records in your own Bluesky repository; by saving them you let us and other players display and replay them within the game.

The usual conditions

The warranty, liability, governing-law and change terms are the studio’s shared ones, in Game the Sky’s Terms of Use.

Privacy Policy

The short version: we run no ads, no analytics, and no trackers; there are no payments; and your rounds live in your own Bluesky data repository, not on our servers.

What signing in actually permits

When you sign in, Bluesky asks you to approve what this game may do with your account. We request permission to write one kind of record, by name, and nothing else:

That is the entire grant. The game cannot post as you, cannot follow or unfollow anyone, cannot read your private preferences or messages, and cannot touch any data outside that one name — not because we promise not to, but because the permission you granted does not extend that far. Every record the game writes is in your own repository, visible to you and anyone else, and you can delete any of it from your Bluesky account at any time without asking us. You can also revoke this application’s access entirely from your Bluesky settings.

What we store, and why

Live play goes browser to browser

Live rounds are played over a direct connection between the players’ browsers (WebRTC). Your shots travel straight to your opponents; our servers only introduce you. As with any direct connection, the other players’ browsers can learn your network address. If a direct connection can’t be made, the round simply doesn’t start.

What we don’t do

Your rights

Because your rounds are in your own repository, you can read, export, and delete them yourself. To have anything we hold about your identity removed from the clubhouse or any future ranked lists, write to us at legal@gamethesky.com with your handle.

Support

Questions, bug reports, and anything else: mention or message @racethesky.app on Bluesky. Privacy, legal and copyright: legal@gamethesky.com, or see Terms & privacy for every game.
